01About

Who I am

Five years of live experiences for Times Prime and Times Black, from twelve-seat chef's tables to a fort takeover in the middle of Delhi.

Khushie Bhardwaj

I'm an experiential marketer and event specialist. For the last five years I've been building live experiences for Times Prime and Times Black, from twelve-seat chef's tables to a fort takeover in the middle of Delhi.

What I actually do is own the whole thing. Concept and creative, the budget and the vendor negotiations, venue sourcing, production, artist management, government permissions, the floor on the night, and the post-event read on what worked. The range matters more than any single event: a mixology counter and a heritage monument need completely different instincts, and I've had to build both.

Before Times Internet I was on the conference side at India Infrastructure Publishing, selling and filling rooms across energy and infrastructure. That's where I learned that an event is a commercial product before it's a creative one.

02The process

What I own, end to end

Six steps from a blank page to a post-event report. I run all of them, which is the whole point.

  1. 01

    Concept

Format design, creative direction, pitch decks

Starts with what the audience is missing, not what the venue can do. Formats are designed to repeat.

  2. 02

    Budget

Annual event budgets, cost control, commercial closures

Cost per head is set before the idea is signed off, so nothing gets designed that cannot be paid for.

  3. 03

    Venue & vendors

    Sourcing, negotiation, contracting across cities

Recce, rate cards, contracts. Six cities of vendors who have already been used and rated.

  4. 04

    Production

    Build, artist management, F&B, permissions

Build day is where events are won. Rig, focus, cue-to-cue and every government clearance filed early.

  5. 05

    Floor

On-ground execution, guest experience, crisis calls

Running the floor on the night, hosting the room, and making the call when something breaks.

  6. 06

    Post-event

Reporting, partner reconciliation, what to change

Partner reconciliation, spend against budget, and an honest note on what to change next time.

03Signature work

The work

Four properties that show the range: a protected heritage monument, a flagship member format, a chef's table, and a series built to repeat across cities.

A luxury evening at Lal Qila

Brief

Stage a large-scale luxury event inside a protected Mughal monument, with everything that comes with it: government permissions, heritage restrictions, and an audience that has seen every ballroom in the city.

Idea

Let the fort do the work. Build the entire evening around the architecture rather than dressing over it, so the venue is the headline act and every other element stays deliberately quiet.

What I owned
  • Agency management and creative direction
  • Aesthetic direction, production and build
  • Artist management and performance schedule
  • F&B curation and guest logistics
  • Government permissions and site compliance

Delivered end to end on a protected heritage site, with permissions cleared and the full guest journey produced in-house.

  • Approach to the fort gate at dusk
  • Stage and lighting rig built on site
  • Live performance during the evening

Purple Carpet

Brief

Turn a members-only movie screening into a property people plan their week around, repeatable across cities and cinema chains without losing the sense of occasion.

Idea

Treat a Tuesday screening like a premiere. Carpet, gifting, branding and a hosted arrival, so members walk in as guests of the brand rather than ticket holders.

What I owned
  • Cinema partnerships with PVR and INOX
  • Sponsor and gifting partner acquisition
  • Branding, signage and carpet production
  • Guest list, logistics and on-ground hosting

10+ screenings delivered as Times Prime's flagship member property, with sponsor and gifting partners attached to each.

  • Cinema exterior and signage
  • Concession and gifting moment
  • Guests arriving on the carpet

Chef's Play

Brief

Build premium experiences for a luxury lifestyle and fintech membership, for an audience that already has a table at every restaurant worth having one at.

Idea

Sell access, not dinner. Put members on the other side of the pass with the chefs behind Indian Accent, Naru and Tomo Kai, in formats that cannot be booked any other way.

What I owned
  • Restaurant and chef partnerships
  • Format design and menu curation
  • Member communication and invitations
  • Guest experience on the night

20+ premium experiences delivered for Times Black members, including curated Chef's Play evenings with Indian Accent, Naru and Tomo Kai.

  • Plated course from the menu
  • Chef plating at the pass
  • Guests at the chef's counter

Gourmet Table & Sip and Stir

Brief

Give a mass-premium membership a reason to show up every month, at a cost per head that works and a quality bar that does not slip between cities.

Idea

Build formats, not one-offs. A small set of repeatable member experiences — the long table, the mixology counter, the brewery floor, the masterclass — that any city team can run without the idea degrading.

What I owned
  • Format design and city rollout
  • Venue sourcing and vendor negotiation
  • Brand partnerships across Diageo, Bacardi, Campari and Fratelli
  • Budget control and commercial closures
  • Integrated marketing across PR, social, app and email

50+ member-led experiences run as repeatable formats across food, mixology, brewery and masterclass.

  • Bartender building a cocktail
  • Brewery tasting flight
  • Wine pairing at the long table
